dr abe malkin

Dr. Malkin

Medical Director of Alyne Wellness

Dr. Abe Malkin, MD, MBA, is a Southern California native. He received his undergraduate degree in Economics and Biology at Yeshiva University in NYC, and a combined MD/MBA degree from a joint program at Tufts University School of Medicine and Brandies University Heller School of Business.

He completed his Family Medicine Residency training at Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles, and is board certified in Family Medicine and an active member of the American Board of Family Medicine.

In addition to being the founder of Concierge MD, he is also the founder and medical director of Drip Hydration, a mobile IV hydration and mobile medical services company that primarily provides in-home IV treatments to patients throughout the United States.

Dr. Malkin is board certified in Addiction Medicine and a member of the American Society of Addiction Medicine. He serves as the medical director for Elite Home Detox, Grace Recovery Center, and 1 Method Treatment Center, and is also a staff physician for Avalon Malibu.

Shannon

Certified Physician Assistant

Shannon is a certified Physician Assistant at Alyne Wellness, specializing in bridging the gap between nurses and MDs while maintaining autonomy in a collaborative team-based environment.

She was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA, and received a Bachelor’s Degree in History from UCLA and a Masters Degree at USC.

Kelly

Alyne Wellness Office Manager

Kelly is the Alyne Wellness office manager and executive assistant to the CEO. She graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in marketing.

She has been with Alyne Wellness since we opened our doors in June 2022. Kelly has a passion for helping individuals in need and is grateful to be a part of the Alyne Wellness team.

Sandra

Medical Receptionist

Sandra is the Alyne Wellness medical receptionist. She graduated with a B.A. in Psychology and a Minor in Bioethics from Loyola Marymount University. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Pepperdine University.

In her free time, Sandra likes to walk her dog, listen to music, and spend time with her family, friends, and cat.

Emi

Lead PrTMS Technician and Medical Assistant

Emi is the Lead PrTMS Technician and Medical Assistant in charge of training technicians and overseeing the satellite offices. She graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Science  Degree in Psychology and Brain Sciences, along with a minor in Asian American studies.

Aspiring to become a Physician Assistant, she is currently intrigued by the brain and neuroscience and hopes to work in the field in the future. Emi also enjoys volunteering for non-profit organizations, reading books, and coffee shop hunting in her free time.

Laura

PrTMS Technician

Laura is a PrTMS technician at Alyne Wellness. She graduated from UCSD with a Bachelor’s Degree in Neurobiology and a Master’s Degree in Biology. Her master’s thesis work involved understanding the differences in neuropeptides between healthy and Alzheimer’s disease brains. She still researches remotely for UCSD, working to understand the mechanisms underlying neurodegenerative diseases.

Aspiring to become a physician, Laura is interested in neurology and neuropsychiatry and hopes to make a meaningful impact in the future. In her free time, Laura volunteers as the secretary of the Huntington’s Disease Society of America, San Diego, and in equine therapy, working with intellectually and developmentally disabled youths. Laura also enjoys reading and hiking.

Krystal

PrTMS Technician

Krystal is a PrTMS technician for Alyne Wellness and works at our satellite office at Satori Behavioral Health. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychological and Brain Sciences from the University of California, Santa Barbara and recently graduated from the California State University, Los Angeles with a Master of Science degree in Forensic Psychology.

Krystal aspires to pursue a PhD in Clinical Psychology, with the goal of contributing to the field through research and clinical practice. In her free time, she likes working out, listening to music, and going to Disneyland.

Many of our clinicians and technicians have personally used PrTMS treatment protocols and understand firsthand what the treatment has done for them. As a result, we are truly passionate about helping others heal too.

Our New Patient Coordinator is available to answer any questions you may have about how PrTMS can help you specifically. She will take the time to listen to your concerns, answer your questions, and put your mind at ease. She can also assist in getting you scheduled with the clinic should you decide to move forward with treatment.

Certified Physician Assistant

Shannon is a certified Physician Assistant, specializing in bridging the gap between nurses and MDs while maintaining autonomy and working in a collaborative team-based environment. As a first-generation American, Shannon was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA.

Shannon’s educational journey began at UCLA, where she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in History. It was during her undergraduate studies that she developed a keen interest in the healthcare profession and recognized the unique role that a Physician Assistant could play. Inspired by the opportunity to work alongside physicians while maintaining a level of independence, Shannon pursued her Master’s Degree at USC, becoming a certified Physician Assistant.

One aspect that particularly intrigued Shannon about a career as a Physician Assistant was the versatility it offered. With the ability to transition into various medical fields, she found herself constantly challenged both medically and educationally. Embracing this fluidity, Shannon continuously seeks new opportunities to expand her knowledge and expertise.

Shannon offers valuable advice to aspiring healthcare students, emphasizing the importance of perseverance and pushing beyond perceived limits. She acknowledges that the journey may be filled with obstacles but assures that it is a rewarding path that culminates in providing assistance to those in need. As a compassionate listener and dedicated healthcare provider, Shannon combines her extensive medical knowledge with intuition to deliver comprehensive patient care.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Shannon enjoys indulging in her hobbies, including traveling, exploring diverse cuisines, attending Pilates sessions, and engaging with enriching literature and podcasts.
